Gel Electrophoresis Systems
Gel electrophoresis is a method for separation and analysis of macromolecules (DNA, RNA and proteins) and their fragments, based on their size and charge. Eutech Scientific Services has been carrying out gel electrophoresis for academia, biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
Contact us for:
Analyzing Protein Samples:
- Native and Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate-Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (1D SDS-PAGE): are used to check protein homogeneity (purity) and estimation of a protein molecular weight.
- 2D gel electrophoresis to resolve protein mixture based on isoelectric point (pI) and molecular mass.
Analyzing DNA & RNA samples:
- Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or ribonucleic acid (RNA) fragments of different sizes can be separated using either Agarose gel electrophoresis or Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, depending on the approximate molecular weight of the fragments.
- DNA fingerprinting
